Profiles sheets – handling

• All profiled sheets are inspected during manufacture and before despatch. Consignments are packed in strapped bundles.
• On site, care should be taken when off-loading. Sheets should be lifted directly off bundles and not dragged off.
• When hoisting sheet bundles into position, ensure sheet edges are protected and that pressure across the sheets does not cause distortion. Use rope or slings, not chains, for lifting.

Profiles sheets - storage

To avoid deterioration of sheets when stored on site, please observe the following recommendations:

• Do not leave stacks of sheets uncovered, lying in the open. Store under cover, and away from doorways.
• If stacks cannot be kept under cover, erect a simple scaffold around them and cover with a waterproof sheet, ensuring a space is left between the cover and sheets, to ensure air circulation.
• Stacks should be stored off-ground and on a slope to allow rain or moisture to drain away.
• Always inspect the stacks regularly to ensure rain has not penetrated the covering.
• Do not store sheets where people will walk across them.
